Flodesk 2026 Email Marketing Trends Report
Most of what you know about email is outdated
The 2026 email marketing trends that actually apply to you, pulled from 14 billion emails sent by real small businesses.

Flodesk analyzed 14.3 billion email deliveries from small businesses and creators, sent between January 2025 and July 2026. The takeaway: most email advice was built on outdated enterprise data and no longer holds. Image-heavy emails don't hurt opens. Who you send to, and when, does.

The data behind the report
This report draws on 14,331,287,547 email deliveries across 3,063,187 campaigns sent by Flodesk members between January 2025 and July 2026. Every figure comes from Flodesk's own platform: real emails sent by real small businesses. It isn't a survey, an industry estimate, or a projection from a sample, and no third-party data was used. All data is aggregated and anonymized, with no individual member, subscriber, business, or email address identifiable in any number.
Most email benchmarks are built on enterprise senders with in-house marketing teams. Flodesk members are photographers, designers, coaches, course creators, and e-commerce founders running independent businesses, usually without a marketing department. That's a group existing benchmarks measure poorly, which is exactly what makes these numbers useful if you're one of them.
