Email marketing is one of the most effective ways to build relationships, nurture leads and drive sales. But manually sending emails? That’s time-consuming—especially as your list grows. That’s where workflows come in.
Flodesk workflows automate your emails so you can engage your audience effortlessly, helping you:
- Save time: Set up automation once, and let it work for you 24/7
- Increase engagement: Send relevant, timely emails that match your subscriber’s journey
- Grow revenue: Convert more leads into customers with better automation and segmentation
And now, with our new-and-improved workflows, we’re giving you more power and flexibility to grow your business with even smarter automations.
What’s new with workflows (and how it helps your business)
Trigger a workflow directly from an opt-in form
Now, you can trigger a workflow the moment a subscriber fills out a form—no need to add them to a segment first. Instantly deliver lead magnets, welcome sequences or event confirmations without the extra step of creating segments. It’s a smoother, faster way to automate.
Let subscribers go through a workflow more than once
Your subscribers don’t just engage with your brand once. There are multiple touchpoints, and your email automations should reflect that. Now, you can let subscribers re-enter a workflow each time they meet the trigger conditions, making it easier than ever to offer repeat access to freebies, courses, challenges and more. This feature is also perfect for putting seasonal campaigns, event registrations and ongoing lead nurturing on autopilot.
Use existing segments for new workflows
Want to launch a new automated campaign for a subscriber segment you’ve already built? Now, you can instantly add an existing segment to a new workflow, without any extra steps. No more manually adding subscribers or moving them to a new segment—your workflow starts working for them right away.

Exclude segments from a workflow
Not every subscriber needs to go through or continue every workflow. In fact, customizing the journey can create deeper connections and higher conversions.
With the option to exclude specific segments from entering a workflow, you can easily ensure your audience only receives the most relevant content. If someone joins an excluded segment after entering a workflow, they’ll automatically exit—no extra steps required. This feature is particularly helpful for businesses running product launches and special events.
What’s improved in workflows
- Keep subscribers moving through workflows even if you edit a time delay, so you can continually optimize your workflows as needed
- Republish a workflow even if a time delay has passed, without needing to remove those outdated time delays
- Keep subscribers moving through workflows after a soft bounce—no more losing subscribers just because of a temporary email issue
- Choose if your specific date time delays are for any year, or a specific year. Learn more about this improvement here.
