Tamara Malas didn\u2019t intend to become an activist. After graduating from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago with a degree in Fashion Design, she spent the first seven years of her career working for high-end fashion houses, creating beautiful women\u2019s clothing\u2014but never for women her size. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

That feeling of being excluded from the fashion industry led Tamara to start her eponymous clothing line, Tamara Malas<\/a>. She adds, \u201cI wanted to contribute to my own community, and that\u2019s what led me to start my own business.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\t\n\t\t\t
